Mission 2013

We were deeply saddened to have to postpone the trip for 2012.  There were many extenuating circumstances that contributed to the decision.  A lot of prayer went into the decision and we felt it was in the best interest of everyone to postpone the trip until 2013. We must always remember that God sees the big picture...we only see a frame at a time.

We are in the early stages of planning the mission trip to Guarulhos.  The dates will be early July 2013.  We will soon reserve airline tickets, so call soon to add your name to the list.  The work will be in the Campo do Feijao area where the new church was started in 2010.  There will be work in the favelas also. The word from Brazil is there has been an influx of Bolivians to the area, so any Spanish-speaking team members would be a great benefit.

Call or email us soon to add your name to the list.  We currently have around 10 committed to going, but would like around 15.

Mission 2012

Things are beginning to shape up for Mission 2012.  We are anxiously awaiting word from Brasil about dates and plans for next summer.  We will be letting everyone know when we have that information.

I'm trying to upload pictures to this site from this year's trip.  Sorry it has taken so long!  You can find most of the pictures on Adam's facebook page.

Thanks for all the prayers and support for Mission 2011.  It was a great trip with lots of great results.  We just received an email today with the leaders there in Brasil marvelling at how well the trip went.  They are already looking forward to 2012.

Get ready!!

Last Night in Brasil

Wow.  God is truly amazing.  A whole week in Brasil!  He has completely blessed us by allowing us to take part in His work.  After sharing the Gospel of Christ in Campo do Feijao all week, we have seen around 126 people make a profession of faith in Jesus Christ!!! It has been great!

But the hard part is here now.  We must say our "see you later"s and depart tomorrow.  I could write a book about what God has done, but I will leave the stories to be told when we arrive home.  Thank you, friends, for your prayers and support.  God has shown us great things this week and now we must take what we have learned and apply it to our lives.

Only two more days!!!!

We have had a wonderful day and week!  God has blessed us with good weather, and many opportunities to share the Gospel.  We have had 96 salvations and have sown many seeds.  Vacation Bible School in the mission is running over forty beautiful children!  Services at night have been awesome! (Tremendo!)  The work is not finished so please continue the prayers!

In service to Jesus, my Lord and Savior!

Day 3 in Brasil

This morning the Mission team divided up into two teams and went out to do street evangelism. After street evangelism this morning we went back to the church to eat lunch, after lunch we went back into groups of three and did street evangelism, delivered food, and house visits. After we finished our mission of evangelism, we attended church at Campo de Feijo where Pastor Bobby brought the message, Adam sang with his guitar, and Arielle gave a testimony about her trip here to Brasil. Today we had about 34 souls to be saved, but from the past few days we have had about 74!! We thank God for allowing us to bring those souls to him! We will continue to save souls after we have left Brasil and returned back into the United States and into the state of Arkansas!

Yours truly,
Arielle Rideout

First Two Days!

Wow! We are here! God's work is being done in a mighty way! Last night, we had an excellent service at Soberana! This morning we met in Campo do Feijao for a social activity at 9. The social project includes free dentistry, eye check ups, etc. We had a waiting room where people came to hear the Gospel of Jesus! This room was attacked by the devil this morning. People were changing the subject to personal beliefs and causing others to not accept Christ. Three people, however, did accept Jesus!  After lunch, this room got to kicking! We saw 13 more people come to Christ in about an hour and half! It was amazing! One man, Roberto, accepted Jesus and we spent some time with him afterwards. We could definitely see a change in his countenance and speech! God is amazing!

Another amazing thing happened with a child outside of the waiting room.  Jonas (Jonah) is a young man that stayed around where some of the team was blowing up balloons and painting faces. He talked to Mrs. Lou and he accepted Christ! He stayed with us almost all day long. And tonight, upon our arrival at the church in Campo do Feijao, we were greeted by this same Jonas that accepted Jesus just hours earlier!

All together there were church services at four churches tonight! Someone accepted Jesus at the church where Bro. Bobby preached!

Needless to say, God is doing an amazing work in Brasil! We are all very excited to be here and be a part of God's plan! Keep us in your prayers!
